About the event

This 40-hour course will cover the history of fingerprint science, biological formation, and abnormalities of friction ridge skin. Students will learn ridgeology foundations, permeance, and individualization of friction ridge skin.

This course is the first in the Latent Print Examiner Series. It is designed for individuals who wish to obtain a Latent Print Examiner Certification.


This class will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.


What to Bring:

Participants should bring a fingerprint magnifier with a Henry disc, one ridge counter, a computer with Microsoft capabilities, and the required LPE texts listed below:
