Basic Photography & Digital Imaging

This 40-hour course is designed to teach students the fundamentals of crime scene photography, as well as familiarity with all forms of camera equipment and capture systems. Students are required to bring a digital camera which is capable of manual exposures, a tripod, an SD Card and Card Reader, External Flash (if available), and a Laptop Computer. A digital single lens reflex camera is highly suggested.

Participants must be employed with a law enforcement agency to participate. This course provides P.O.S.T. credit hours towards a Crime Scene Technician certification.
